New organic supermarket opens
A new 'organic supermarket' has been opened on Main Street, Blackrock in south Dublin.
The store is an Irish owned and managed. Darren Grant and his team of five sales people are running the operation, which claims to have organic certification for every single item in the store, from walnuts to wine.
According to Darren, the opening of the supermarket is a "clear reflection of changing consumer attitudes away from chemically enhanced foods and a drive back to more traditional, nutritious, seasonal food."
About the store itself, he points out that "every item stocked is certified organic and handpicked to the highest standard. Our ever-expanding product range includes fresh organic fruit and vegetables; chilled and gourmet food; Irish meat; bread; dairy; specialty cheeses; shelf foods; coffees; teas; wine and handmade Irish organic chocolates. We support local Irish producers and suppliers."
The store is open seven days a week 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday, 10am-7pm Saturday and 12am to 6pm on Sunday. The Organic Supermarket's mission is to become the leading retailer of organic and ethically traded products in Ireland, by providing ground-breaking customer service, unique wholesome products, employee pride and environmental respect.
