New organic addition to Dundrum Town Centre

This month sees the opening of Ruairi Maguire’s Bar and Organic Kitchen. The Pembroke District of the Dundrum Town Centre is about to get a new arrival in the form of a new organic gastro pub.

Ruairi’s will be more than 350 square metres in size and will create in excess of twenty new jobs. It is a traditional Irish-style pub, serving 100% Irish Organic food, which according to the owners makes it the only 100 percent organic gastro pub in Ireland.

Ruairi’s will be certified organic in all areas of its menu. Organic wines and teas and coffees will also be available as an alternative to the non -organic varieties.

The people behind Ruairi’s, Shane Maguire and Ruairi Cosgrove, who both have track records in the hospitality trade and also have experience in farming say that they intend producing a percentage of the beef for the menu on their own organic farm.

Ruairi Maguire’s Bar and Restaurant will offer a traditional bar service alongside home cooked 100 percent organic food for breakfast, lunch and evening meals. They will also feature sporting events on television screens, live music and Djs at weekends and promise high quality service.

Just happy we did not order main courses ,only starters You get a crab cake about the size of a miny sausagec roll and is tasteless for about 8 euro no wonder we were the only people in the dining area, absolute rip off

My husband and I had a bite to eat in Ruairi Maguire's Bar and Restaurant yesterday and were very disappointed despite the 3 good reviews that we spotted on 'rate my area' which had prompted us to visit this pub instead of the regular restaurants in Dundrum. Both our dishes were mains and we found them to be tastless. Additionally, we felt they had being heated up/left standing rather than cooked afresh. I think we will give this a miss in the future!
