Feasting in Leitrim
A two-day harvest festival will take place in Drumshanbo and the Organic Centre, Rossinver, Co. Leitrim on 13th and 14th September, 2008. Celebrating the best of local food is the theme for this year's festival.
An exciting array of events will take place including cookery demonstrations by well known chefs Kevin Dundon and Noel McMeel; nature walks on farms; visits to local community gardens; bread making; wine, cheese and chocolate tasting. David Langford will display his heritage collection of over 100 varieties of potatoes and special menus will be carried at local restaurants. A food market featuring the best of local produce will be held at the Organic Centre.
