Organic Matters Magazine - November / December 2006 edition

Welcome to this special bumper edition of Organic Matters issued to mark National Organic Week beinning on 6th November.

Organic farming has been around for millenia but it's only in the past 25 years that the organic movement has gained prominence in Ireland.

The term 'organic' is now in every day usage but there is still a great deal of confusion as to what it means. This issue of the magazine sets out to explain what organic is all about and to examine some of the wider issues relating to organic food production. More particularly, we want to give you an insight into the lives and work of some of those who produce organic food for a living.

If you are a farmer, perhaps we can persuade you to look at the organic option. If you are a member of the general public, perhaps you will consider trying organic food next time you shop.

In any event, we hope that we have given you some food for thought and that you enjoy our special edition!
